TURBOKIDS
TurboKids STEM Series is a fun, hands-on racing program for kids, tweens and teens ages 7–15 at Fast Track Hobbies in Rocklin, California.
This program was created to give them a chance to learn, race, improve skills, and have fun in a positive environment surrounded by other racers.
TurboKids is more than just driving slot cars around a track. Learn how the cars work, how racing strategy matters, and how small adjustments can affect the way a car performs.
Every event combines racing, STEM education, teamwork and track experience. No prior experience is needed to join the program.
First-time racers and experienced drivers are all welcome.

POINT SYSTEM
1. Science
Learn how speed, traction, momentum, drag and balance affect a slot car on the track.
2. Technology
Learn how the track powers the cars, how controllers work, and how electricity keeps the cars moving.
3. Engineering
Learn how different parts, tires, motors and adjustments affect handling and performance.
4. Math
Use lap times, reaction times, consistency and racing strategy to improve performance.
The goal of this program is to help kids, tweens and teens grow their skills over time while being part of a fun racing community.

FAQ
Do I need my own slot car?
No, all cars and equipment are provided.
Can my child join with no racing experience?
Absolutely! Beginners are welcome, and we will help them learn the basics.
What if my child has never raced before?
That is perfectly fine. TurboKids is designed for both first-time racers and experienced drivers.
Do parents stay during the event?
Parental attendance is required. Parents are welcome to participate, however, during instruction children are encouraged to work independently to get the most from the experience. During the race parents will be asked to help turn marshal and put cars back onto the track if and when they fall off.
How many kids are in each group?
The program is limited to 24 participants per series.
What age is the program for?
TurboKids is designed for kids and teens ages 7–15.
What should my child bring?
Please provide a snack and a drink.
Will my child race against other kids?
Yes. Each event includes friendly racing, skill-building activities, and opportunities to earn points and awards.
